The City of Port Adelaide Enfield has announced proposed plans for a multimillion-dollar sports and recreation facility at the corner of Hampstead Road and East Parkway, located on a portion the former Ross Smith Secondary School site.
It is hoped that the 2ha site will become a new home to a range of sporting activities. There will be a key focus on basketball but other indoor sports such as netball, wheelchair sports and futsal may also take up residency at the new facility.
With meeting rooms for community groups and other activities also included in the proposed design, the centre is set to be a real hub for the local community. These exciting plans, combined with Lightview’s already established outdoor recreation facilities, will make lightsview an even more desirable place to call home.
The City of Port Adelaide Enfield is currently conducting further research to determine how best they can meet the needs of the community through this project. To help Council understand what matters most to you, complete this short survey online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/9CZHL9K.
